Following the publication of the MIUR call for the development and enhancement of 4 new national technological clusters, Confindustria Lombardia has joined the "Design Next Made in Italy" project, which aims primarily to create synergies and guide national institutions on technological trajectories by integrating proposals from the design, fashion, wood-furniture-home-interiors, agri-food, mechanical engineering, and artistic craftsmanship sectors.

In parallel, the Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster (LE2C), for which Confindustria Lombardia acts as the cluster organisation, has joined the project proposal for the creation of the national cluster in the energy sector. The establishment of the national energy cluster will provide impetus and greater coordination for the development of innovative technologies for traditional energy production and those focused on the green economy.
