The European Commission has launched the Horizon Impact Award 2020, which is open for entries until 2 April. The competition aims to reward EU-funded projects whose results have created a social impact in Europe and beyond.

The Commission’s objective is to recognise and reward the results of the most influential and impactful projects within Horizon 2020, the EU research and innovation programme, and its predecessor, the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7, 2007-2013).

The award will highlight concrete results with demonstrable value to society and celebrate the individuals who achieved them. Each of the five winners will receive €10,000.

The winners will be announced at the European Research and Innovation Days in Brussels this September.
