On 7-8 February, at the invitation of the authorities of the Indian state of West Bengal for the “Bengal Global Business Summit 2019”, the Secretary of the CLM Cluster (Lombardy Mobility Cluster) Gianpiero Mastinu and the President of the LE2C Cluster (Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster) Luca Donelli accompanied the Lombardy Region on an institutional mission to India.

During the mission, meetings were held with Indian institutions and business associations, providing local stakeholders with the opportunity to present 150 projects, representing approximately 17.8 billion dollars in investment opportunities in West Bengal. The mission concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at fostering business cooperation in research and innovation, promoting and exchanging expertise in industrial growth, technology and manufacturing, and sharing information on support for trade fairs, exhibitions, business missions and business information systems.

The mission also served as an opportunity to present the specific features and strengths of the Lombard economy and its companies to a market that has expressed a particular interest in Made in Italy products.
