CIPE: €68 million for the digitalisation of MSMEs

On 10 July 2017, the Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning (CIPE) adopted a resolution allocating €67.46 million to the project, drawn from the 2014-2020 Development and Cohesion Fund (FSC), as supplemented by the 2017 Budget Law. This completes the total funding of €100 million provided for by the enabling legislation, with €32.54 million having already been allocated under the 2014-2020 National Operational Programme (PON) for "Enterprises and Competitiveness", which is co-financed by the European Union and managed by the Ministry of Economic Development.

Furthermore, the Committee has distributed the aforementioned €100 million among all regions, applying the criterion of the number of businesses registered with their respective Chambers of Commerce, as stipulated by the enabling legislation for the initiative.

Immediately following the publication of the CIPE resolution in the Official Gazette, this Administration will open the application window for the grant. This scheme provides micro, small and medium-sized enterprises with a voucher of up to €10,000 for the purchase of hardware, software and services aimed at the digitisation of business processes and technological modernisation. Details regarding the application process and the necessary forms will be provided well in advance.
