MADE Call for Proposals: €1.2 million to support businesses in implementing Industry 4.0 projects

The 2021 edition of the MADE call for proposals has recently been published, aiming to support businesses in the implementation of projects focused on innovation, industrial research and experimental development within the Industry 4.0 sector.

The call is open to micro-enterprises, start-ups, SMEs and large companies, which may submit funding applications individually or through the formation of partnerships; each company or partnership may also submit one or more project proposals.

The grant provided is a non-repayable contribution of up to 50% of the costs/expenses incurred, to a maximum of one hundred thousand euros per project. Only eligible expenses include contract research costs and costs relating to consultancy and equivalent services. Furthermore, projects must have a maximum total duration of 12 months, with the possibility of a 6-month extension and a minimum Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 5.

It will be possible to submit funding applications from 1 March to 20 April 2021 exclusively online via the dedicated platform. A webinar presenting the scheme will be held on 10 March at 17:00, and registration is available via this link.

The previous edition of the call saw the submission of 71 project applications, 20 of which were selected for funding.
