
An interesting figure released by the European Commission highlights the growing interest from companies and research bodies in the LIFE call under the Horizon 2020 programme. For the “climate action” sub-programme, the Commission received 166 new proposals in 2019, which is 25% more than last year.
Applicants requested over €280 million in co-financing to support their projects focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing resilience to climate change, and enhancing cooperation to mitigate its effects.

The results of the call from 12 September will be announced in February 2020, while the next one will be launched in April of the same year on the European Commission website.
