ELIIT call: second application window now open

The 25th of January marked the opening of the second application window for funding under the European Light Industries Innovation Technology (ELIIT) initiative, part of the COSME Programme.

ELIIT aims to increase the competitiveness of SMEs operating in the textile, clothing, leather and footwear sectors by funding partnerships between companies and providers or owners of innovative technologies.

The initiative, which consists of two windows, will fund a total of 25 partnerships, each receiving direct financial support of 70,000 euros, to be used for the development of high value-added products or prototypes.

Successful applicants will also benefit from specialised consultancy, networking activities and workshops designed to improve productivity, supply chain integration and resource efficiency, as well as assistance with intellectual property protection.

To apply, all consortium partners must register individually on the dedicated EMS platform, after which only one partner should submit the project proposal.

Please note that SMEs wishing to participate in the initiative but who have not yet formed a partnership may, after registering, search for potential partners on the platform itself.

Through the first window, which closed in March of last year, 15 partnerships were selected, 4 of which included Italian SMEs, with 2 based in Lombardy.

The deadline for the second and final window is 14 April 2021 at 17:00 CET.

The call guidelines can be downloaded in the attachment.
