Lombardy Region Circular Economy Call: implementation criteria approved

The Lombardy Regional Executive has approved the implementation criteria for a call for proposals supporting circular economy projects within the Lombardy region.

Areas of intervention range from product and process innovation regarding the efficient use of resources, the use of by-products in production cycles, and the reduction of waste generation and material reuse, to the design and testing of integrated technological models aimed at strengthening the production chain. Support is also provided for the testing and application of tools to extend product lifespans and improve their recyclability, as well as for the implementation of tools and methodologies for the rational use of natural resources.

The call, which is open to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, whether applying individually or in partnership, provides for a total allocation of two million euros, funded equally by the Lombardy Region and the Chambers of Commerce, through Unioncamere Lombardia.

The call will be divided into three project phases, the first two of which will take place within 2019, with the third commencing in 2020. Phase 1 involves the submission of project ideas, which must be submitted between 10:00 on 18 June and 12:00 on 2 August 2019. Phase 2 consists of guidance and support for the submission of finalised projects. Phase 3, which will also be open to entities that did not participate in the 2019 call, will involve the implementation of the projects.

For Phase 2, 400,000 euros will be available, while 1,600,000 euros will be allocated for Phase 3.

Applicants must submit their "business ideas" exclusively online via the following website: http://webtelemaco.infocamere.it.
