The European Commission has announced that the Research Executive Agency (REA) received 100 project proposals for the MSCA-NIGHT 2020 call, following the single 2020 cut-off date of 9 January.

A total of 8 million euros is available to fund public events aimed at promoting research careers, particularly among young people and their families. The events will take place on 25 September 2020 in various European cities.

Projects will be selected for funding with the support of independent external evaluators chosen from the European Commission's expert database. Regarding the timeline, project evaluations are expected to begin at the end of January, with the selection of projects to be announced by mid-April. The REA will then sign grant agreements with the successful applicants between May and June 2020.
