The call for the Horizon 2020 programme known as FET Innovation Launchpad, part of the European Innovation Council pilot (EIC), is currently open.
The call will fund innovations linked to FET projects, activities for which funding was not initially provided. The grants will be used to verify and validate the innovative potential of ideas derived from FET projects, supporting the next steps required to bring these ideas closer to the market. Specifically, the activities this call aims to encourage are the definition of a commercialisation process, market and competitiveness analysis, technology assessment, verification of innovation potential, consolidation of intellectual property rights, and the development of business cases.
The call introduces a new feature: a lump sum of up to €100,000 which will be disbursed without the need for any declaration of actual costs, timesheets, or financial audits; in this sense, the actual disbursement will depend on the completion of the work.
Applications for this call are restricted based on previous Pathfinder/FET programme results, so it is necessary to check the conditions of participation for details on eligibility criteria.
The deadline for submitting applications is 14 October.
