The European Innovation Council (EIC) has launched a call entitled EIC Scalator Pilot with a total budget of €1.5 million.
The call aims to provide support to EIC beneficiaries with the potential to scale up and become global leaders ready for funding rounds exceeding €50 million following the initial funding rounds provided by the EIC Pathfinder and Accelerator instruments. This pilot aims to accelerate investment and partnerships among the most mature EIC beneficiaries and to create deep-tech success stories in Europe by connecting EIC beneficiaries with corporations (private buyers, mergers and acquisitions, corporate venture capital), investors providing robust networks and late-stage investment (equity or venture debt), international markets, and stock exchanges.
A maximum of 30 EIC beneficiaries may be supported, provided they meet the selection criteria, such as: an annual growth potential of approximately 50–100%, a validated, repeatable, and scalable business model, significant revenue traction, a focus on technological innovation capable of disrupting existing markets, an ambition to expand into new markets (geographical/sectoral), potential for international expansion (foreign clients, revenue from international markets, number of markets outside the domestic market), and commercial self-sufficiency.
Please note that 11 June 2020, from 11:00 to 12:30 (CEST), an information session will be held on the objectives and features of this call: you may register for the session by clicking here.
