6th Regional Forum for Sustainable Development 2025

The sixth edition of the Regional Forum for Sustainable Development will take place from 12 September to 30 October 2025. This annual event, promoted by the Lombardy Region, fosters dialogue on the transition towards a sustainable lifestyle model.

The Forum serves as the annual opportunity to review the initiatives implemented under the Lombardy Protocol for Sustainable Development. In its second edition (2023-2027), the Protocol has engaged over 60 entities, including public bodies and collective organisations, committed to involving the local area in achieving sustainable development goals. Signatories of the Protocol will actively collaborate with the Region in organising the various stages of the Forum, which will also serve as an opportunity to secure new memberships.

The central theme of this edition is climate change.

The Forum will be spread over five days, with each event held in a different Lombard provincial capital, to explore the topic of climate change from various perspectives.

The event calendar is as follows:

The Lombardy Region events portal provides updated programmes for each day and registration details.

The Forum will offer an important opportunity to strengthen the network of stakeholders active in sustainability in Lombardy, involving prominent national and international figures from businesses, the third sector, universities, and research, with a particular focus on young people.
