
The European Commission has published the list of beneficiaries for the SME Instrument Phase II programme for the 3 April 2019 deadline. Out of 1,765 proposals received, 77 were selected for funding, representing a success rate of 5.2%.
For this deadline, Italy recorded 6 companies and 5 funded projects, including 2 projects from Lombardy. In this cut-off, our region ranks second in terms of the number of funded companies (2), behind Emilia-Romagna (3).
Spain is the leading country in terms of the number of beneficiaries with 12 selected companies, followed by Switzerland (9 companies) and Ireland (7 companies).
The winning Lombardy-based companies are Tanaza Spa and 3bee, both located in the province of Milan. 3bee received support from Confindustria Lombardia as part of the Enterprise Europe Network activities, with assistance from the Comonext Innovation Hub and the Confindustria Brussels Delegation.
