
The European Commission's Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises has published the call for applications for the 14th edition of “Malaysia International Halal Showcase” , which will take place from 5 to 8 April 2017 in Kuala Lumpur. The initiative is part of the “Overseas Trade Fair Participation (OTF) programme”, a programme dedicated to the implementation of Phase III of the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument.
The measure is aimed at beneficiaries of Phase I and Phase II of the SME Instrument, particularly those who submitted projects under the topics “SMEInst 05- Supporting innovative SMEs in the healthcare biotechnology sector" and "SMEInst-07 -Stimulating the innovation potential of SMEs for sustainable and competitive agriculture, forestry, agri-food and bio-based sectors".
The Commission will provide a contribution equal to 50% and up to a maximum of €1,000 towards travel, accommodation and other support services (regulatory advice and assistance, brochure printing, stand customisation and translation, other travel services) incurred by the company. Additional costs may be covered under “Dissemination Activities” within a Phase II project, provided it has not yet concluded at the time of participation in the fair.
Furthermore, a team of experts will be available to support the company in its participation at the fair with accompanying services, such as
- Pre-departure briefing;
- Preparation for participation in the mission;
- Support with feedback and follow-up with partners met.
Finally, selected companies will be able to exhibit their project free of charge at the European Commission stand.
