"Human Resources Figures" Report, Lombardy - 2025 Edition

The Confindustria system conducts an annual labour survey among its member companies, covering various human resources management topics. For this edition, data was collected between mid-February and the end of March 2025, with reference to the 2024 calendar year.

The purpose of the survey is to monitor trends in key labour market aspects, ranging from absence and turnover rates to remote working arrangements and the prevalence and content of collective bargaining.

This year, an in-depth study was conducted on the integration of Artificial Intelligence into business processes, specifically focusing on its impact on the search for and training of necessary skills—a topic of significant current importance.

More than just a statistical analysis, this report serves as a practical tool for HR professionals, providing the necessary context and market benchmarks for shaping personnel management policies. While the indicators are not based on a representative sample, the volume of data ensures they offer a realistic reference for most of the phenomena analysed.

A large group of Territorial Associations, primarily based in Northern regions, adopted a version of the questionnaire featuring an additional section dedicated to specific HR management policies: the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of remuneration and incentive systems, recruitment parameters for graduates, and allowances for extracurricular interns.

A common trait among these 25 Associations for the 2025 edition is the nature of their membership: innovative, often internationalised companies that invest significantly in human capital and therefore require more detailed information on personnel management. To simplify the process, this additional section was also included in the questionnaire version specifically prepared by three major trade federations—Federmeccanica, Federchimica, and Federazione Gomma-Plastica—for companies applying the metalworking, chemical-pharmaceutical, and rubber-plastics collective labour agreements, respectively.

This productive collaboration between associations has enabled the collection of data from nearly 2,100 companies, representing approximately 370,000 employees.
