On 15 February 2023, the results of the survey entitled "Climate change and corporate strategies" were presented. The study was promoted by Assolombarda, the Bank of Italy, and Confindustria Lombardia, in collaboration with the regional associations: Confindustria Bergamo, Confindustria Brescia, Confindustria Como, Associazione Industriali Cremona, Confindustria Lecco e Sondrio, Confindustria Alto Milanese, Confindustria Mantova, and Confindustria Varese.

The survey analysed the positioning of Lombardy's manufacturing firms within this landscape. The resulting picture reveals a complex reality in the midst of profound transformation, indicating a system that is now in motion. While there appears to be limited dynamism across the production sector as a whole, a widespread awareness of the risks posed by climate change is fostering the emergence and consolidation of a group of pioneering firms, characterised by a strong innovative drive that leads them to trial new solutions for environmental sustainability.
