SME Instrument: AEGIDEA secures Phase 1 funding

AEGIDEA has been awarded Phase 1 of the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument for Proofy, the online platform for registering creative works and protecting their copyright.

The Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) has published the results for Phase 1 of the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument, the EU's research and innovation programme that supports companies in developing new products and services for the market.

Out of 2,111 proposals submitted by European companies, 184 were selected for funding, with only 37 beneficiaries from Italy.

Among the latter, AEGIDEA was awarded €50,000 in funding to implement the Proofy project.

Proofy is an online platform where creatives can register their works and obtain a birth certificate; a legal proof of copyright protection, valid for 20 years, recognised beyond European borders and fully compatible with SIAE. The process is straightforward: simply upload the file and archive it on Proofy. Registration of the work is instantaneous, secure, and lasts for 20 years.

The Proofy system is not only simple and accessible to everyone, but it also offers high levels of security that ensure the integrity of the work is protected.

The funding received will allow the company to study the project's feasibility, with the aim of establishing these results on an international level.

These results were achieved in part through collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network, of which Confindustria Lombardia is a member, as part of the Sportello Europa initiative.

This is another significant achievement reached through Confindustria Lombardia's participation in the Enterprise Europe Network, in collaboration with the Simpler consortium.
