updates on UNI 689, REACH and CLP
Assolombarda Confindustria Milano, Monza e Brianza, Lodi.
Monza and Brianza Territorial Office
Viale Francesco Petrarca, 10 - Monza
Target audience
In all production sectors that use chemical agents, companies are required to draw up a specific Risk Assessment Document.
Chemical agents are defined as chemical elements or compounds, either on their own or in mixtures, and the assessment must be carried out for every work activity in which chemical agents are used, including production, handling, storage, transport, or the disposal and treatment of waste, or which result from such work activity;
The assessment begins with an awareness of the hazards associated with a substance. The meeting will cover not only the latest developments regarding REACH and CLP, particularly for downstream users, but also the tools useful for collecting the necessary information and data, specifically the Extended Safety Data Sheet. The activities of the Reach Centre in support of businesses will also be illustrated.
Regione Lombardia will present a summary of the main practical issues encountered regarding the application of these two regulations.
Risk assessment continues by applying an evaluation process. The new UNI EN 689:2018 standard defines the strategy for verifying compliance with occupational exposure limit values and can assist Health and Safety Managers (RSPP) and technicians working in workplace health to plan a better sampling strategy and assessment approach.
This information meeting is free of charge and also open to non-members.
Exclusively for members of Assolombarda Confindustria Milano Monza e Brianza, Lodi the workshop provides 2 hours of training credit, pursuant to the State-Regions Agreement of 7 July 2016, valid as professional development for RSPP, ASPP, managers, supervisors, and workers, and is preparatory for completing the mandatory update path through Assolombarda Servizi training courses.
