Confindustria Varese
Via Vittorio Veneto, 8/D (third floor) - Gallarate
Target audience
The Knowledge Share platform is dedicated to promoting research results generated by public universities, IRCCS - Research Hospitals, and EPRs – Public Research Bodies across the country. It was created by Netval, an association established in 2007 with the mission of promoting public research, in collaboration with the MIMIT - Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) and the Politecnico di Torino.
The objective of Knowledge Share is to make information regarding patents and technologies that represent the pinnacle of scientific know-how easily accessible, clear, and understandable. The platform aims to resolve the primary challenges associated with the technology transfer process and provide a consolidated tool to channel and simplify interactions between the research sector, businesses, and investors.
Access is free and open to all large enterprises, SMEs, investment funds, accelerators, and incubators, both domestic and international, subject to registration.
As part of the collaboration between Confindustria, Fondazione Mai, and Netval, a roadshow has been launched to present the platform and the numerous opportunities it offers to the business community. The second stage is hosted by Confindustria Varese, with the aim of highlighting the tool's functionality and potential, and anticipating future developments and implementations, including the launch of a section dedicated to spin-offs. Indeed, a 2.0 version of the platform will be officially presented and launched on 23 January 2024 at the headquarters of the CNR – National Research Council in Rome.
