Description of content and objectives

RENTRI, the National Electronic Register for Waste Traceability, represents a fundamental step in the digital management of corporate waste. As previously outlined in Confindustria Bergamo communications and webinars, registration with the system will be mandatory for various entities, according to staggered deadlines.

Specifically, by 13 February 2025, the following entities will be required to register with RENTRI:

  • initial producers of hazardous waste with more than 50 employees;
  • initial producers of non-hazardous waste with more than 50 employees;
  • entities and companies that carry out treatment, recovery, or disposal activities;
  • entities and companies that collect or transport waste professionally, or that operate as waste traders and intermediaries;
  • consortia established for the recovery and recycling of specific types of waste.

From the same date, these entities will be required to maintain a digital register that is interoperable with RENTRI. To comply with these regulations, it will be possible to choose between using waste management software purchased independently on the market or adopting the free digital register provided by RENTRI support services.

To support companies in fulfilling these obligations, Confindustria Bergamo is organising a free webinar to be held on Thursday 16 January 2025 at 14:30. The session will conclude with a Q&A segment for participants.

The webinar will feature Monica Meloncelli from the Energy, Safety, Environment and CSR department of Confindustria Bergamo.
