Description of content and objectives

The PIMAP4Sustainability project involves six European clusters, including AFIL, with the aim of leveraging three Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) in particular: photonics, advanced materials and advanced manufacturing, to provide a strong boost to the innovative potential of European companies active in three key industrial sectors: metallurgy, aerospace and industrial production, and to accelerate the adoption of green and digital solutions and processes.

Interested companies are invited to participate in the virtual matchmaking event scheduled for 14 March 2023, aimed at establishing transnational partnerships and organised by the PIMAP4Sustainability project partners in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).

The Open Call is primarily aimed at SMEs and provides for a maximum grant of 60,000 euros for each selected project.

To participate in the Open Call, the following eligibility criteria must be met:

  • a consortium formed by at least two SMEs from two different European Union Member States or countries participating in the European Union’s Single Market Programme;
  • a consortium formed by at least one SME and one Large Enterprise from two different European Union Member States or countries participating in the European Union’s Single Market Programme.

Submitted projects must contribute to increasing the sustainability of SMEs through the development of new products, services or processes. They must have a TRL between 5 and 8 and a duration of between 6 and 9 months, and may concern:

  • Development of prototypes
  • Testing of innovative solutions at the end-user site
  • Technological validation by Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs)
  • Other activities related to the development of innovative projects

Timeline:

  • 1 March 2023 – 3 May 2023: application period;
  • June – August 2023: evaluation of proposals and signing of the Sub-Grant Agreement;
  • September 2023: start of project activities.

Once registered, you must complete your profile in English, select at least one matchmaking session, and add at least one marketplace item indicating the skills, technologies, or products you are offering or seeking. You will then be able to request meetings by selecting who you are interested in meeting based on the virtual Participants and Marketplace catalogues.
