Following the meeting on 16 March 2017 regarding "Foreign customs operations: procedures and simplifications" Assolombarda Confindustria Milano Monza e Brianza has decided to organise a day of one-to-one meetings to address specific questions and requirements related to the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status, and to outline the criteria required for authorisation and the associated benefits.
To obtain AEO status, an economic operator must demonstrate compliance with criteria such as:
AEO status allows economic operators to benefit from direct and indirect advantages and facilities regarding their customs-related operations.
To obtain this status, it is necessary to request that the competent Customs Office initiate a specific audit, which will take into account any information and data already held (authorisations issued for simplified/domiciled procedures, customs audits) as well as other elements, such as certifications obtained by the applicant, which may facilitate the AEO authorisation process.
The one-to-one meetings are free of charge.
Member companies interested in a meeting to discuss a specific case and/or raise questions during an individual appointment are requested to send an expression of interest via email to the Internationalisation and Business Strategy Area, addressed to Selena Pizzocoli: selena.pizzocoli@assolombarda.it, by Friday 12 May 2017, specifying the participant's company details and the topic to be discussed.
The meeting schedule will be communicated as soon as it is available.
