Description of content and objectives

The MWC Open Innovation Challenge 2023, a B2B event connecting major multinationals, start-ups and technology providers, is organised by ACCIÓ, a department of the Ministry of Business and Labour of the Catalan Government, as part of the Enterprise Europe Network.

The 2023 programme is aimed at innovators with solutions and technologies capable of addressing the following Challenge Topics:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Circular Economy & Sustainability
  • Fintech
  • Healthcare
  • Industry 4.0
  • Internet of Things
  • Mobility & Logistics
  • 5G Connect

Companies and investors that have already chosen this initiative to present their challenges and identify potential project participants include Sony, Astra Zeneca, Nestlé, Agbar, Celsa Group, EDF, Ikea, Oppo, A2A, Samsung, Abertis, Alstom, Angelini, Dassault, Enel, Philips, Hyundai, HP, Liteon, IBM, Total, Renault Group and LG.

You can register for free by 23 February 2023 via the following link.

The event will be held in a hybrid format: from 27 February to 1 March 2023 there will be exclusively in-person meetings between companies/investors and technology providers at the MWC/4YFN congress venue in Barcelona; online meetings are scheduled to take place between 6 and 10 March 2023.

Once registered, you must complete your profile in English, selecting at least one matchmaking session and adding at least one marketplace item that indicates the skills, technologies or products you are offering or seeking. You will then be able to request meetings by selecting who you are interested in meeting based on the virtual Participants and Marketplace catalogues.
