Description of content and objectives

To mark the second Open Call for the MUSAE project, partners from the Enterprise Europe Network – Confindustria Lombardia, CNA Lombardia, Finlombarda, and FAST – are hosting a B2B event from 14 March to 7 May to bring together SMEs and artists from across Europe.
MUSAE aims to establish the MUSAE Factory Model, based on the Design Future Art-driven (DFA) method, and integrate it into a European network of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs).
The goal is to support companies in driving strategic innovation in digital technologies and addressing future challenges in the food sector to improve the well-being of people and the planet. Furthermore, MUSAE will establish a deep connection with the S+T+ARTS ecosystem, bringing together expertise in design, art, nutrition, well-being, and human-machine interaction. The project is supported by Horizon Europe through S+T+ARTS, an initiative of the European Commission launched under the Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme to support collaborations between artists, scientists, engineers, and researchers.
The initiative will support 11 artist-SME teams, using the DFA method to develop validated prototypes (TRL5). Expected results include 11 industrial prototypes demonstrating the effectiveness of DFA.
The budget for each project will be €80,000; of which €24,000 is for the artist and €56,000 for the SMEs, with a duration of 11 months.
