Meet in Italy for Life Sciences (MIT4LS) was created to provide a platform for engagement and visibility among all stakeholders in the sector, making networking activities the heart of the event. The partnering (brokerage) event at the last edition saw 400 registered organisations (30% international, over 100 startups) take part in approximately 1,600 meetings (44% transnational), involving a total of 31 countries and generating over 97,000 visits to the meeting platform. To maximise the opportunities for business collaboration, research, and project proposals within the MIT4LS community, the brokerage event for the seventh edition will consist of two main components: one in-person and one virtual.

Event venue

• 29-30 September: in-person partnering session, to be held in Genoa at the Magazzini del Cotone in the Porto Antico. Only in-person meetings will take place on these days.
• 1 October: virtual partnering session. Only virtual meetings will take place on this day.

Participants selecting virtual attendance may only register for the 1 October session. Participants selecting in-person attendance may also provide availability for 1 October to hold virtual meetings with virtual participants.

Target audience

Meet in Italy is not only the sector's leading networking opportunity through its partnering sessions (brokerage event, MIT4LS2021 BE), but it also includes an international conference, thematic workshops and in-depth sessions, company presentations, exhibition spaces, and initiatives to support startups. Participation in the various initiatives is free of charge.

Confindustria Lombardia, as part of the activities of the Enterprise Europe Network-SIMPLER consortium, will provide support to companies for the registration and management of B2B meetings.

Registration details

• You may register for free until 13:00 on 20/09/2021 via the b2match platform using the following link. Once registered, you must complete your profile in English, including at least one entry in the Marketplace items section. Completed profiles will form the online participant catalogue.
• Once your profile is activated and visible, you will need to select who you are interested in meeting based on the online participant catalogue and marketplace items. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to accept or decline invitations from other participants. B2B meetings can be booked from 10/09/2021 until 14:00 on 21/09/2021.
• By cross-referencing these requests, an individual meeting schedule will be generated, which each participant will receive before the event.

Confindustria Lombardia is the Support Office to select during registration to receive free assistance for a successful participation in the B2B event.
