The initiative is aimed at businesses, research centres, universities, associations and non-profit organisations interested in the LIFE programme and in exploring the role of standards in supporting innovation.
Confindustria Lombardia and UNI (Italian Organisation for Standardisation), as part of the Enterprise Europe Network activities, are organising the webinar “Opportunities under the new LIFE programme: technical standardisation in support of innovation”, which will be held on Thursday 22 July from 10:00 to 11:30.
Standardisation involves studying, developing and publishing voluntary application documents (standards, specifications, technical reports, and reference practices) that define how to ensure quality, reliable performance, safety and sustainability across all industrial sectors.
The webinar, organised by UNI and Confindustria Lombardia with the support of the Industrial Union of the Province of Varese and the Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster, will provide an opportunity to explore the role of technical standardisation as a driver of innovation, through concrete examples of actions carried out within funded R&I projects.
The session will also cover the structure and latest developments of the new LIFE programme, the European Union’s framework programme that co-finances innovative projects for environmental sustainability, including circular economy approaches, to mitigate climate change.
The webinar will be recorded and made available on the UNI and Confindustria Lombardia YouTube channels.
