The safety of low-climate-impact refrigerant gases

Via Stezzano, 87
Bergamo

Target audience

Open to all interested parties, subject to registration

Description

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2024/573 on fluorinated greenhouse gases, a progressive phase-out of fluorinated refrigerant gases (F-gases) is underway in favour of low or zero GWP (Global Warming Potential) alternatives. However, these solutions possess characteristics such as flammability, toxicity, or the requirement for high-pressure operation, which necessitate the adoption of specific safety measures in both plant design and management.

In this context, as part of the “Safety of Sustainable Technologies” series, a conference titled “The Safety of Low-Climate-Impact Refrigerant Gases” will be held on 19 May 2026, from 10:00 to 12:30.

The initiative is organised in collaboration with Assogastecnici – the national association within Federchimica representing companies that produce and distribute technical, special, and medicinal gases – and TÜV Italia, an independent body providing certification, inspection, testing, and training services, with contributions from member companies Hoval and Robur.

The event will take place at the Confindustria Bergamo headquarters, Kilometro Rosso – Gate 5 (ample free parking available).

Participation is free and open to all interested parties. For those who request it during registration, 2 training credits valid for RSPP/ASPP professional development will be awarded, subject to passing a multiple-choice assessment, in accordance with the State-Regions Agreement no. 59 of 17/04/2025 and the relevant ministerial FAQs.
