Description of content and objectives

At the meeting organised on 26 November, the Lombardy Life Science Cluster will present the following to life science sector operators, companies, research bodies and universities:

• the new European Community work programmes for the 2016-2017 biennium, with a particular focus on the “Health, demographic change and wellbeing” topic;

• the regional incentives for industrial innovation and the new R&D call for proposals for SME groupings;

• potential collaboration with Israel as an internationalisation opportunity.

What is the Lombardy Life Science Cluster

An association aimed at stimulating and facilitating the creation of relationships between companies and between companies and regional research centres of excellence within the territory. The Association works by fostering the integration and development of skills and technologies, which are fundamental catalysts for the realisation of innovative projects, products and processes that underpin growth in competitiveness and the creation of new business opportunities.
The Cluster promotes the implementation of aggregation initiatives with the aim of fostering the dissemination of:

• innovative processes

• technology transfer activities

• opportunities to participate in calls for proposals

• internationalisation activities

Finally, the cluster supports its members by offering the services of the Enterprise Europe Network through one of its members, Confindustria Lombardia.
