Description of content and objectives

European initiatives regarding the sustainable transformation of businesses will have significant, albeit indirect, effects on the activities of SMEs. The regulatory landscape currently taking shape concerning sustainability reporting and due diligence is complex. SMEs will need to assess and manage the ESG aspects of their operations, investing in non-financial reporting both to engage effectively with financial intermediaries and as participants in the supply chains of large enterprises.

The webinar “EU initiatives for sustainable transformation: what impact for SMEs” – organised in collaboration with the Credit and Finance Department – is the second event in the series “The challenges of the green and digital transformation: EU responses for SMEs”, hosted by Piccola Industria Confindustria and the Confindustria Delegation to the EU. It aims to provide an update on the evolution of European sustainability regulations and offer useful insights for successfully navigating the required changes.
