On 4 December 2025, the Lombardy Region published guidelines for the implementation of EU Implementing Decision 2022/2427 on best available techniques for waste gas treatment in the chemical sector, aiming to provide initial clarifications to support IED permit review procedures and ensure a consistent approach across the region.
Two meetings will therefore be held, organised by Confindustria Lombardia as part of the activities of Enterprise Europe Network and in collaboration with the Lombardy Region, ARPA and Federchimica.
The first webinar aims to examine the regional guidelines, which are addressed to the competent authorities and are of great use to operators.
The second webinar will illustrate the technical documentation prepared by ARPA and the Lombardy Region, such as the sector-specific "standard" Monitoring Plan, aimed at standardising the Agency's inspection activities, and the "Emissions Inventory" model to facilitate the application of BAT 2.
