Continuously updated data on the hazards associated with handling chemical substances, combined with subsequent changes to current regulations, necessitate increasingly complex activities for assessing "Chemical Risk," both in terms of the nature of the substances and production processes.
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) has dedicated its 2018-2019 campaign to the risks posed by hazardous substances, aiming to raise awareness among businesses and all stakeholders in the supply chain to implement effective safety measures. The Enterprise Europe Network, of which Confindustria Lombardia is a partner through the Simpler consortium, is actively collaborating to disseminate this message widely to local businesses.
Through the voices of the institutions and industry companies involved, the initiative aims to highlight the risks that certain chemical substances pose to workers, the environment, and the end consumer, as well as the appropriate prevention strategies.
