Description of content and objectives

The meeting will analyse the most common payment and guarantee methods used in international trade, with particular reference to documentary collections and documentary credits, highlighting their most critical aspects.

During the morning session, the following questions will be addressed:

  • What are the security levels, risks, and considerations when choosing individual payment methods?
  • Is a documentary collection (CAD) a "secure" form of payment? Can it be compared to a letter of credit?
  • How can a letter of credit be made secure and effective?
  • Why should one request confirmation of a letter of credit?
  • How can bank discrepancies be avoided to ensure secure payment by the agreed deadlines?

The speaker for the meeting will be Antonio di Meo of Studio DI MEO di Antonio Di Meo & C. S.a.s.
