Description of content and objectives

With €70 billion allocated for the 2014-2020 period, Horizon 2020 is undoubtedly the largest instrument ever dedicated to supporting research and innovation in Europe. The results of these first two years of programming confirm that the Framework Programme, although highly complex and structured, responds well to the needs of the business world and, for the first time, specifically to those of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The aim of the conference is to provide useful information to better understand the Horizon 2020 programme (the share awarded to Italian companies so far is below the potential and capacity of our industrial base) and to understand how to build successful partnerships and projects.
To this end, alongside insights from experts, successful case studies of local companies that have utilised EU instruments will be presented.
Furthermore, the Simpler network (Enterprise Europe Network) will be illustrated, a European initiative created to help SMEs identify foreign partners and engage on an international level. At the end of the session, it will be possible to meet the speakers for further discussion.
