Description of content and objectives

With 80 billion euros allocated for the 2014-2020 period, Horizon 2020 is undoubtedly the largest instrument ever dedicated to supporting research in Europe. The results of these first two years of programming confirm that the Framework Programme, although highly complex and detailed, responds well to the needs of the business world and, for the first time, specifically to those of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The aim of the conference is to provide useful information to better understand the Horizon 2020 programme (the share currently awarded to Italian companies is below the potential and capacity of our production sector) and to understand how to build successful partnerships and projects.

To this end, alongside expert insights, a success story will be presented by a member company that participated in and won a grant from the Horizon 2020 SME Instrument.

Following this, the Simpler network (Enterprise Europe Network) will be presented, a European initiative created to help Small and Medium-sized Enterprises identify foreign partners and engage on an international scale. At the end of the session, it will be possible to meet the speakers to discuss the various topics covered in more detail.
