Description of content and objectives

This initiative aims to provide an overview of the German business environment for companies approaching the market for the first time and for those looking to strengthen their presence in the country.

Germany is Italy's primary trading partner. Strong appreciation for the quality of "Made in Italy" products and the complementary nature of the two production systems facilitate the entry of Italian companies interested in establishing solid and lasting relationships.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Commercial aspects:
    • sectoral development and commercial strategies;
    • retail focus and related obligations;
    • guidelines for establishing a presence in the country.
  • Legal aspects:
    • selling in Germany;
    • commercial intermediation, agency and distribution;
    • consignment stock and 2018 simplifications;
    • requirements for posting workers to Germany;
    • overview of taxation, corporate law and employment law.

Following the session, interested companies may receive further insights through individual meetings with the two professionals.

Speakers
Alexander Angerer, Italian-German Chamber of Commerce in Milan
Roland Plecher, Plecher Law Firm in Munich
