3rd webinar in the "Strategic Skills for Defence and the Space Economy" series.

ESA and business incentives for experimentation in the space economy

Event venue

Webinar

Description

As part of the 'Assolombarda for Big Science' project, which promotes collaboration opportunities with major international research centres, the European Space Agency (ESA) is a key player in promoting funded programmes. ESA programmes represent a concrete channel of opportunity for companies looking to enter space supply chains or strengthen their market position. This third session in the "Strategic Skills for Defence and the Space Economy" series provides a clear, practical overview of how to navigate the various ESA programmes, verify eligible activities, understand access pathways, and identify the benefits for participating companies.

Agenda

The webinar will cover the following topics:

  • how to identify opportunities and understand the main access channels to ESA;
  • the requirements, criteria, and activities necessary to access funded programmes;
  • how to structure an approach strategy: mapping skills, references, partnerships, and verifying and strengthening project proposals.

During the meeting, new Assolombarda support services for businesses will also be presented: an informative guide to ESA programmes and a self-assessment tool that will allow companies to independently measure their level of readiness for the space and defence economy. The tool helps to:

  • identify strengths and areas for improvement,
  • define priorities and next steps to address any weaknesses,
  • guide actions to more effectively seize opportunities within ESA and the space economy.

For companies interested in going beyond general guidance, the possibility of specialist support through Assolombarda Servizi will also be explained.

Speakers

  • Elena Ghezzi – Lead Expert, Innovation, Industry, Energy and Innovation Area
  • Giulia Podestà – Service Manager, Credit and Subsidised Finance, Assolombarda Servizi
