The development of collective self-consumption systems has been regulated and incentivised for several months now by the following institutions:
These are transitional provisions which, based on the experience gained during this experimental period, will need to be redefined by June 2021 through further measures that will conclude the transposition of Directive (EU) 2018/2001 (the so-called RED II and IEM) and the package of Directives and Regulations issued under the Clean Energy Package.
Against this backdrop, where new approaches to electricity procurement are being shaped, we are hosting the webinar: “Energy Communities and collective self-consumption – State of the art and prospects for businesses”, which will take place on Monday 12 April 2021 from 10:00.
The initiative aims to take stock of the situation and highlight the most significant aspects of the topic of “Collective self-consumption systems and Renewable Energy communities”. Such configurations can translate into investment opportunities and cost-effectiveness for businesses, from both an energy and environmental perspective.
The event will feature the participation of GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici), RSE (Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico), the Politecnico di Milano, and the Customs Agency for an in-depth look at the tax implications.
It will also be an opportunity to illustrate concrete cases already in place in Italy and to outline the various structures through which these configurations can be implemented, depending on the context and the participants.
Gianni Pietro Girotto, President of the 10th Standing Committee of the Senate (Industry, Commerce, Tourism), is scheduled to attend.
