Description of content and objectives

The event organised by EIT Digital Italy (https://www.eitdigital.eu/) will explore the topic of digital transformation within the SME manufacturing landscape.

The event will cover digital transformation in Industry 4.0, focusing on the three main pillars underpinning this paradigm: Industrial IoT, industrial analytics, and artificial intelligence. In this context, cybersecurity threats associated with Industrial IoT and Industry 4.0 will also be addressed. The workshop will provide valuable insights into technological developments and business opportunities in Industry 4.0, and offer you the chance to engage with and become part of the wider EIT Digital Industry community.

The event will also include a presentation on current funding opportunities for data-driven applications and experiments in CPS/IoT, launched by the European project MIDIH (http://www.midih.eu/) The project aims to develop data-driven applications, primarily by IT SMEs as technology providers, and CPS/IoT experiments, primarily by manufacturing SMEs.
