Description of content and objectives

This webinar aims to illustrate the advantages offered by FTAs while providing guidance and advice on how to leverage them to increase competitiveness in international markets. The discussion will cover both the agreements the European Union has signed with various countries and regions, and those established between other nations and regions.

Increasing the utilisation rate of existing and forthcoming agreements is a key driver for enhancing the internationalisation of Italian companies: free trade agreements aim to create better commercial opportunities and overcome obstacles related to exporting to partner countries.

The topics to be addressed are as follows:

• The EU's trade policy strategy
• How to leverage the advantages offered by FTAs
• A brief overview of preferential origin, documentation, and penalties
• Doing business in strategic countries: examples of applying concessions in the USA, China, Russia, Japan, and the UK, through the network of agreements between these countries
• The digitalisation of the customs system (movement certificates, authorised exporter, REX system).

The speaker for the session will be Zeno Poggi of ZPC srl, a partner of Assolombarda Servizi.
