Description of content and objectives

This meeting aims to explain the operation, purpose, and impact of the Central Credit Register on determining a company's creditworthiness, particularly regarding the reporting criteria for 'past-due' positions—an anomaly in a company's solvency linked to the persistent over-utilisation of bank credit facilities.
The following topics will be covered in particular:

  • the importance of analysing performance data for corporate ratings;
  • the Bank of Italy's Central Credit Register: how it functions and operates;
  • reporting to the Central Credit Register by financial intermediaries;
  • how to manage incorrect reports;
  • past-due regulations;
  • analysing and interpreting Central Credit Register data.

The speaker for the meeting will be Paolo Barenghi from Unicredit SpA.
