Description of content and objectives

Confindustria Lombardia, ANCE Lombardia and the 9 Lombardy Territorial Associations, together with CNA Lombardia, FAST, Finlombarda and in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network and the European IP Helpdesk, are organising the webinar “Patents, trademarks and designs: funding opportunities for Lombardy SMEs”. The webinar will be held on Tuesday 23 January at 16:30.

The aim of the webinar is to present two measures accessible to Lombardy SMEs designed to fund intellectual property protection, while addressing questions from participants.

The two measures in question are as follows:

• 2023 Patent Call by Regione Lombardia: opens on 25 January, with a total budget of 2.5 million euros; it funds activities related to the filing of patent applications for an industrial invention at a European or international level, or the extension of applications previously filed with the UIBM and subsequently extended to the EPO/WIPO until a search report is obtained from the competent body (EPO or WIPO). SMEs can access a non-repayable grant in the form of a lump sum.
• EUIPO SME Fund: opening date yet to be defined (likely late January), it funds the partial reimbursement (in the form of a non-repayable voucher) of costs related to the filing of trademarks, designs and models (via national, regional, European or international systems), patents at a national or European level (including prior art search services provided by Member State IP offices) and the protection of Community plant varieties.
