Description of content and objectives

Recent events demonstrate that floods and landslides are becoming increasingly frequent natural phenomena. The growth of human settlements, combined with climate change, contributes to increasing the likelihood of negative impacts from these events on the population and the production system.

Within this complex scenario, a specific line of research has been established as part of the Inail 2022-2024 Three-Year Research Plan, involving the Inail Territorial Operational Unit of Como.

Given recent events related to hydrogeological instability in Italy, Inail Lombardia and the Como Territorial Operational Unit, in collaboration with the Inail Department of Technological Innovations and Safety of Plants, Products and Human Settlements, and in partnership with Confindustria Lecco e Sondrio, are organising a multidisciplinary event involving various public and private stakeholders with specific expertise and experience in the field of floods and landslides.

The conference aims to provide companies with practical tools to improve workplace safety standards regarding the risk of floods and landslides.
