Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria Lombardia visit the Eni Refinery in Sannazzaro

Sannazzaro de' Burgondi (PV), 6 October 2016 - "The Young Entrepreneurs are continuing their journey, begun over a year ago, to promote and understand the wealth of the Lombardy region. Specifically, today's meeting in Sannazzaro with local institutions, preceded by a visit to the Eni Refinery, provided an opportunity to discuss the reindustrialisation of areas affected by the crisis and a lack of adequate infrastructure." This was the comment from Federico Ghidini, President of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria Lombardia, on the sidelines of a visit by a group of 40 young Lombard entrepreneurs to the Eni Refinery in Sannazzaro.

"The Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria Lombardia," added Ghidini, "have brought their proposals and ideas to the table, as well as their full willingness to act as a liaison with regional institutions to facilitate a revival of the entire Lomellina area."

The facility visited is a flagship for Eni and is part of the sustainable energy resource development strategy that the company is implementing internationally.

"I personally committed to ensuring our region could host the Regional Council of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria Lombardia today," said Marco Salvadeo, President of the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Pavia. "As stated at the Confindustria Pavia assembly earlier this week, we must listen to the region to understand its difficulties and present solutions. Being here today means listening to Sannazzaro, but more importantly, it means engaging directly with the Eni Refinery, a true benchmark for the local economy. The eco-sustainable and green vision that the company is adopting here in Sannazzaro must be seen as a competitive advantage for the entire region and an attraction for young people entering the job market. Energy is being produced here in an innovative way."
