Viscardi: Lombardy as a national and European benchmark for Industry 4.0

Milan, 27 July 2017 – The Presidential Council of Confindustria Lombardia today appointed the members of the Board of Directors for the Digital Innovation Hub Lombardia. Following its establishment, the Board appointed entrepreneur Gianluigi Viscardi as President.

Gianluigi Viscardi – President of Cosberg Spa, President of the Intelligent Factory National Cluster and of the Small Industry division of Confindustria Lombardia – thanked the Board of Directors for the appointment and emphasised that he would “carry out his role with the utmost commitment”. He identified “the strong cohesion of the Confindustria Lombardia system – between regional governance and local branches – and the inclusive vocation of the DIH Lombardia towards regional stakeholders as the two fundamental conditions for the project’s success. We will make our region the national and European benchmark for Industry 4.0,” concluded Viscardi.

The headquarters of the Digital Innovation Hub Lombardia will be located at Confindustria Lombardia. The founding members of the Association are Confindustria Lombardia and the ten regional territorial associations (Assolombarda Confindustria Milano Monza e Brianza, Confindustria Bergamo, AIB, Unindustria Como, AIC, Confindustria Altomilanese, Confindustria Lecco e Sondrio, Confindustria Mantova, Confindustria Pavia, Univa).

The Board of Directors of the DIH Lombardia is composed of: Gianluigi Viscardi (President), Angelo Baronchelli, Francesco Caracciolo, Massimiliano Falanga, Carlo Ferro, Vittorio Gandini, Silvia Pagani, Cristina Pierini, Annarita Polacchini, Andrea Pontani, Mauro Redolfini.
