Federico Ghidini is the new President of the Confindustria Lombardia Young Entrepreneurs.

The entrepreneur from Brescia was elected with 20 votes by the Regional Committee of the Confindustria Lombardia Young Entrepreneurs Group.

Milan, 29 September 2015 – The Regional Committee of the Confindustria Lombardia Young Entrepreneurs Group elected Federico Ghidini as President for the 2015-18 three-year term yesterday.
Federico Ghidini, born in 1979, is a fourth-generation entrepreneur. A member of the Brescia Young Entrepreneurs Movement since 1998, where he served as President from 2011 to 2015, he has been part of the Confindustria Lombardia Young Entrepreneurs committee since 2005. From 2013 to 2015, he served as a member of the Confindustria General Council, representing the young entrepreneurs' movement.

“After more than 15 years within the Movement, it is an honour for me to take on the role of President of the Confindustria Lombardia Young Entrepreneurs Committee,” commented Federico Ghidini. “The responsibility of representing all young entrepreneurs in Lombardy, at a time of such significant change for our businesses and associations, is a source of pride, but also a great challenge that I intend to face by focusing strongly on the characteristics of our entrepreneurs and the quality of our member companies. Let us focus on the ‘Active Italy’ that features Lombardy’s manufacturing firms as protagonists; companies that are currently navigating a delicate economic climate yet continue to believe in development. Innovation, enterprise, and entrepreneurs are the essential sources for generating confidence, and we will strive to actively promote this message to protect jobs and create prospects for young people,” concluded the new President of the Confindustria Lombardia Young Entrepreneurs, Federico Ghidini.

Ghidini succeeds Stefano Poliani, who served as President of the Lombardy Young Entrepreneurs from 2011 to 2015. Poliani’s presidency was marked by a strong focus on training and work-study programmes. The Management Game, a travelling business simulation, achieved enviable results during these years: the 2015 edition saw the participation of 58 schools and 532 teams, involving a total of 2,128 students from Lombardy.
Significant results were also achieved in terms of representation and active participation within the national Young Entrepreneurs group, where the Lombardy branch has gained increasing influence. Leading the 2015 Santa Margherita Ligure conference as project leader and the success of the annual meeting represented the pinnacle of Poliani’s tenure as President of the Lombardy Young Entrepreneurs.
