Statement by Marco Bonometti, President of Confindustria Lombardia

Milan, 5 March 2018 – “The victory of Attilio Fontana and the centre-right in Lombardy represents a clear mandate to promote our region’s excellence. The new President of Lombardy must continue to work on business competitiveness, but above all, improve the competitiveness of the environment in which businesses operate. A genuine process of simplification and deregulation has become essential to make the Lombard system even more efficient, complete strategic infrastructure projects such as the Pedemontana, focus on human capital qualification and the development of specialist skills required by the market in an Industry 4.0 context, foster a policy of attracting productive investment, and further incentivise business innovation.
