Statement by Marco Bonometti, President of Confindustria Lombardia

“Industrialists, particularly those in Lombardy whom I represent, do not engage in politics, yet we feel a pressing need for a stable government capable of responding swiftly and effectively to the challenges ahead, which will shape Italy’s future. Confindustria Lombardia views the ongoing political crisis with great concern, as it creates a power vacuum and prevents us from addressing numerous outstanding issues with the necessary resolve. Italy has been in a precarious state of stagnation for too long, filled only by an unsustainable, permanent election campaign. We therefore urge a constructive and immediate resolution to this crisis, as unmanaged problems only worsen over time.”
